Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Muoto has been a professional investor, entrepreneur, and business executive for the last 20 years. Since 2006, Mr. Muoto has been actively buying in South and East Los Angeles, Venice, and Echo Park. SoLa Partners and SoLa Rentals/Realtors® are focused on the mission of “Doing Well by Doing Good” and have helped improve the lives over hundreds of residents in several of Los Angeles’ tougher neighbors, particularly in South Central Los Angeles.
Martin was previously an operating executive at several technology companies and a venture capital partner at Accretive Partners and General Atlantic Partners in New York. Mr. Muoto graduated with Honors from the Wharton School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania.
Vice President, Operations & Finance
Gray has over 10 years of real estate investment fund experience. He oversees and is involved with every aspect of property management including leasing, advertising, collections, finances, maintenance, project management, problem tenants, and neighborhood revitalization efforts. His focus has been on finding value in “hard to manage” areas and community revitalization.
Head of Leasing/Tenant Relations
Rocio has been in property management for over five years. She is involved in a variety of aspects ranging from tenant leasing, rent collection, and maintenance administration, to financial management. She has extensive experience with Section 8 policies and placements, Veterans Administration Services, PATH, LAHD, HACLA, and is able to adeptly navigate various local and city agencies to expedite placement and improve inspections. A native Spanish and English speaker, Rocio obtained degrees from the University of San Diego and California State University of Long Beach in economics and counseling respectively.
Leasing Specialist/Property Manager
Jorge Felix is a leasing coordinator and property manager at SoLa Rentals. Jorge was raised in South LA and is intimately familiar with the areas, the tenants, and our buildings. Jorge was recruited and trained to handle multiple complex tenant situations. He currently oversees several clients’ buildings and assists in the management, rent collections, and maintenance operations of all our clients.
Ronda, a Southern California native, started her career in financial management with the construction of the Cabrillo Landing Marina in San Pedro where she led the financial management team. Trained and certified in bookkeeping she is noted for facilitating accelerated processes to meet department needs. As a full-charge bookkeeper independently responsible for 174 properties over 1,000 units processing A/P, A/R, bank reconciliation, and generating end of month reports for each property. She has extensive experience in payroll processing, maintaining inventory and managing construction purchases, commonly assisting projects to come in under budget.
Ronda has managed finances for several real estate investors, property management companies, and non-profits throughout Southern California.
Leasing & Operations
Ashley’s role at SoLa is leasing, operations, and property management. Born and raised in the South Los Angeles, Ashley is actively involved in the community as serves on the South LA Neighborhood Development Council . Ashley previous worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor assisting those who suffer from substance abuse and mental health disorders. Ashley specializes in programs such as PATH, Beyond Shelters, Veterans Administration, and Department of Mental Health.
Erica has worked in property management for over 17 years assisting with collection of rents, filling vacancies, posting and creating notices. She has managed multiple properties, hundreds of units and a staff of on site managers and maintenance workers. She has experience with Section 8, HACLA, and various local city and county agencies.
Erica speaks Spanish and English fluently.
Pierina assists the office in processing prospective tenants applications as well as providing excellent customer service. Pierina has been providing customer service for over 15 years as well as working in different departments such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources. Born and raised is South Los Angeles, Pierina is familiar with the area and has seen a major change in the community while working with SoLa.
